Mama Cara’s birth photography, birth film, maternity, newborn and family photography

During your birthing journey you and your partner will want to fully immerse yourselves in the wonder of birth. Birth is such a wonderfully overwhelming experience. It requires all of your focus and it is often difficult to remember all the beautiful details afterwards.

Having this very special time documented in still shots or on film will provide an opportunity to relive one of the most important times of your life. You will see the beautiful moments that would otherwise have been lost forever. As a professional birth photographer I can capture memories of your birthing story in the most sensitive and relaxed manner. I can photograph or film your journey wherever, whenever and however you chose to labour and birth. I use equipment specifically for low-light environments and aim to be unnoticeable. I can take photos with virtually no light, no flash (unless desired) and using my mirrorless camera, there is no “click”. The service provided is adapted to suit each families’ unique circumstances and wishes and can range from pregnancy photography, birth photography or film to deluxe packages including doula support.

  • Initial meeting to discuss your birth film wishes

  • On call 24/7 after full payment received from 2 weeks before estimated due date

  • Filming undertaken in a sensitive, non-intrusive manner during labour, birthing and the special time immediately after birth (for up to two hours)

  • A few photos taken at times between filming

  • 4K quality, professionally edited film/photo slideshow combo (5-15mins) set to music on a USB stick, ready for sharing (if you so wish)

  • 5-10 high resolution professionally edited photos on a USB stick, ready for printing or sharing (if you so wish)

PREGNANCY, NEWBORN or FAMILY LIFESTYLE PHOTOGRAPHY

Mama Cara’s Lifestyle photography includes:

  • Meeting at your home or at a place of your choosing for relaxed, non-intrusive lifestyle photography (for up to two hours)

  • Photos taken with professional cameras and equipment (can be taken with no flash and no “click”)

  • Approximately 20-40 high resolution, professionally edited photos in colour and black&white on a USB stick, ready for printing or sharing

BIRTH PHOTOGRAPHY ADD-ON
